Jamie has 16-years experience in construction and commercial real estate lending, with much of that time spent in the actual underwriting of loan applications. Her depth of knowledge is therefore exceptional. Jamie joined Opes Advisors Santa Cruz in April 2014, expanding their mortgage banking platform to include commercial and construction financing. She immediately established relationships with 12 different sources for these types of loans.
Jamie has products available for everything from the highest-quality commercial properties such as fully occupied apartment buildings and office/retail with long term leases to the “funkiest” Santa Cruz properties like houses zoned for commercial use or businesses in a residential property. Financing is available for land purchases, remodels, new construction (for owner-builders, owner occupancy and investment projects) and even commercial construction. All of her construction lenders have a smooth draw process with internal fund controls, where the same loan officer manages the draw process throughout the project and the typical turnaround time for construction draws is 5-7 business days (this is much faster than the “big banks” which can take 30-days or more to process a request for funds).
